Lydian Engineering is a boutique guitar pedal company based in Sydney Australia.
The pedals are designed and made by hand for guitarists seeking quality, simplicity, versatility and distinctiveness, all wrapped up in retro styling.
The founder, Michael Langenheim, is an electronics engineer and a gigging guitarist who plays in a band in and around the Sydney metropolitan area.
It all began with the Swamp Rat which is a low to moderately high gain distortion pedal based on the original Rat pedal but with considerable refinements.
Then the Two-pot Screamer was developed which is based on the TS808 providing a classic mid-range boost which pairs beautifully with the Swamp Rat.
The Audacious Boost is the latest pedal to be developed and it provides around 20db of clean boost with separate controls for bass and treble.
All pedals are original designs and are handmade in Sydney Australia using only the best through hole components, including Wima caps for the signal path.
