The Audacious Boost is a very quiet and completely transparent boost pedal giving you around 20dB of boost or cut and separate controls for bass and treble.

With the bass and treble controls at noon your guitar’s signal is absolutely unchanged with no bass or treble loss at all. Each of the bass and treble controls can deliver a massive 20dB boost or cut of bass and treble frequencies.
This pedal works well either before gain stages as a gain boost or after gain stages as a volume boost.
It can also be used very effectively to tweak the bass and treble after a gain stage. One great example is to use the pedal after a gain stage to add some “glass” on top of your sound.
Alternatively, the pedal can be used just on its own to produce a big bold clean sound.
Turn the bass and treble controls to:
- the left and you have a mid boost
- the right and you have a mid scooped boost
You could also use the pedal as treble booster by turning the bass down and the treble up to give a big bold “glassy” sound, or anything in between.
The pedal can be used to cut the output by turning the boost knob to the left with 11 O’clock being the neutral position.
The circuit uses only discrete transistors (no op-amps) which is very effective in keeping keep the noise floor at an absolute minimum.
The Audacious Boost utilises JFET buffered switching for noiseless on-off switching and the pedal powers up in the same on-off state in which it was powered down.
Wima caps are used in the signal chain and where that is impractical Nichicon Fine Gold series caps have been used instead.
