It cleans up beautifully with a turn of your guitar’s volume knob and pairs perfectly with a more transparent overdrive pedal such as the Swamp Rat.
The Two-pot Screamer utilises JFET buffered switching for noiseless on-off switching and the pedal powers up in the same on-off state in which it was powered down.
Wima caps are used in the signal chain and where that is impractical Nichicon Fine Gold series caps have been used instead.
Specs:
- Voltage – 9 volts (no provision for battery operation)
- current draw < 5mA
- Input impedance – 1 M Ohm
- Output impedance – 10K Ohm
- Clipping – soft
A Two-pot Screamer is the Australian vernacular for a person who is unable to handle their alcohol.

This is the perfect pedal to stomp on for your solos as it boosts volume and gain. It goes hand in hand with the Swamp Rat pedal and I love that they are both homemade yet sound so professional!
