One great example is to use the pedal after a gain stage to add some &#8220;glass&#8221; on top of your sound.<\/p>\n<p>Alternatively, the pedal can be used just on its own to produce a big bold clean sound.<\/p>\n<p>Turn the bass and treble controls to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the left and you have a mid boost<\/li>\n<li>the right and you have a mid scooped boost<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You could also use the pedal as treble booster by turning the bass down and the treble up to give a big bold &#8220;glassy&#8221; sound, or anything in between.<\/p>\n<p>The pedal can be used to cut the output by turning the boost knob to the left with 11 O\u2019clock being the neutral position.<\/p>\n<p>The circuit uses only discrete transistors (no op-amps) which is very effective in keeping keep the noise floor at an absolute minimum.<\/p>\n<p>The Audacious Boost utilises JFET buffered switching for noiseless on-off switching and the pedal powers up in the same on-off state in which it was powered down.<\/p>\n<p>Wima caps are used in the signal chain and where that is impractical Nichicon Fine Gold series caps have been used instead.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Specs:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Voltage \u2013 9 volts (no provision for battery operation)<\/li>\n<li>Current draw &lt; 5ma<\/li>\n<li>Input impedance &#8211; 1M Ohm<\/li>\n<li>Output impedance &#8211; 10K Ohm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Pricing is in $US Dollars.
